Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964, is an American actress and choreographer. Her breakthrough was with Tina's part in Do the Right Thing (1989), followed closely by White Men Can't Hop (1992). Perez's portrayal of Tina in Fearless (1993), earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Perez has appeared in a number of films since then which include It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another for her role as The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has also appeared in Broadway stage plays , including The Ritz and Frankie, Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. She also hosted the 18th season of ABC's talk show The View. She attended Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. [11] In 1999 her mother was in the middle class of Woodside Houses when she died from AIDS-related complications.
