Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer, recognized as a member of the group One Direction. The son of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where, with three other students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. He was always interested in the arts, however he also wished to work as a lawyer, physiotherapist or even a scout. For a while he worked part-time in a bakery in his city to help financially at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. This meant that his group had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they would form a group named One Direction after the X Test audition. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell. They performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You as well Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the top contenders in the competition. But they finished 3rd place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Even though Harry Styles and his group were not crowned winners, Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco recording label.
