Four years later during the 1988 Olympics Comaneci earned two more gold medals as well as two silver which brought the Olympic total to 9 gold medals. Comaneci became a member of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame and ABC News named her one of the top female athletes of the 20th Century in 1999. Comaneci and Olympic Champion Bart Conner had a son Dylan Paul in April 1996. They own a variety of gymnastics-related businesses, including their own Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci works with a range of charitable organizations, such as Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association (SIMD) as well as Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. After a decade, Comaneci is still a major supporter of numerous other charities in her home country of Romania. This includes the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital.
