Mischa barton was born on January 24, 1986, in Hammersmith, the United Kingdom. The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She also appeared as a character in The Sixth Sense a thriller. The O.C. TV show The O.C. Additionally, she starred on the highly rated TV program The O.C. Benjamin McKenzie was her love interest. Ben McKenzie was her interest. Barton made her debut for her first appearance on TV as Corvina Lang, the younger Corvina. She played the part in flashbacks from All My Children in 1994. She returned in 1996 to replace Michelle Trachtenberg as Lily Benton Montgomery. Katie Singer, Evan Rachel Wood's lover from Jessie Sammler (the series Once and Again) was a guest starred in 8 episodes. In 2001, Barton went back to acting and played in the independent Canadian film called Lost and Delirious. It was based on her Susan Swan novel The Wives of Bath. The film received mixed reviews. The reception she received to Romania was that of a hero. Comaneci's Olympic medal haul increased to nine following four years of participation in the Olympics of 1980. Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1996. She was voted among the 100 most influential women in the 20th century by ABC News. Comaneci along with Olympic champion Bart Conner had a son Dylan Paul in April 1996. They run a range of companies that are related to gymnastics including Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci is also active in a variety of charitable organizations, including an active member of both the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association board of directors as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. In addition, she continues to support dozens of charities in her native country of Romania such as those at the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
